Concept of Fluidity

What is fluidity? Is it a style, a movement, a way of living?

Fluidity encompasses so much. It describes the process and outcome of the jewellery made by Found Treasure. It describes the way we work, allowing our creative passions to flow into the creations we make. It is the rhythm that we sink into at the bench, surrendering to fluid movement and expression.

When we create, we are fluid. Finding ourselves in the zone, flowing like water, our words and work running away with us, spilling onto a page, onto the bench, already created in our minds and longing to be set free through our fingertips. Our creations allow us to fall into fluidity.

The ocean and the people who connect so deeply with it are the embodiment of fluidity. Moving with the tides, never rushing, pledging to be like water: letting go and moving on. We gently aim to bring aspects of the sea into everything we do, by allowing flow to enter our day to day, remaining fluid in times of disrupt and always returning to the shoreline for inspiration.

To live with the seasons is to live with fluidity. To rise with the sun and the morning chorus, to slowly surrender to sleep as the sky turns pink and the gloaming arrives. By becoming fluid you take each day as it comes, never forcing anything, praising the rain on the land and reaping the fruits of your labour after a long summer.

At Found Treasure we value these treasured moments, treasured things. We work in line with nature, bringing concepts of the natural world into all that we do. Remembering that our inspiration comes from the sea and the shore, our roots are sunken in the sand. Allowing fluid motion to move through everything that we create. Doing our best to encapsulate a feeling, a sound, a movement. Documenting the ever changing ebb and flow of the tide.
