How has your love story unfolded?

You could say we are each other’s high school sweet hearts, but he ended up finishing school at 17 to go and work. We have been together for about 12 years now, which is insane! He’s definitely my best friend and love of my life.

Can you give us a snapshot of your lifestyle and passions?

We live in a small town on the East Coast of the north island of Aotearoa (NZ). We are surrounded by beaches and coastline, and it’s absolutely stunning. My fiancé is from the coast as well, so we often travel up and stay with whānau and enjoy the lifestyle up there. It’s very much rural (no reception etc) but we absolutely love getting back there. It’s also surrounded by the Moana (ocean) which we enjoy together. He often dives for seafood, I am yet too but still love the water just as much! We are currently working from home, brought a caravan and want to do a Reno so we have something to take travelling or up the coast.

How would you describe your gifting story or gifting moment?

Spontaneous but perfect timing! The ring arrived the day I gifted it. I have my engagement ring which he picked for me, and I felt like I wanted to do something for him so why not create something special and custom for him (my thoughts) He was having a really bad day actually so this worked out well. He also had NO idea I secretly sized his ring finger up and had this made for him. He wasn’t expecting it at all! It was sooo special.

What are your thoughts on the final piece? What does the piece mean to you?

It is absolutely stunning - PERFECT I would say. I love the curves in the ring which remind me of the waves of the ocean. The fact that the ring is called ‘The Coast Ring’ just made it seem it was made for us (him) The engraving on the inside ‘Aroha Nui’ which means ‘Big Love’ in Te Reo Maori just takes it to another special level! It connects me to him as this saying is apart of me (literally tattooed on me) and it’s something I say to him often if not always. I also did his initials to customise the ring to him, which was actually Naomi’s idea and I think it was perfect to add it, as it balances out the ring on the inside and makes it whole.

How was the design process with Naomi? What was it like to create a custom piece?

It was amazing! It was easy and so fun, communication great and the vision I had she could see too. We adore our special piece and would happily get Naomi to make it all over again + more in the future.

Would you recommend Found Treasure?

Absolutely 110% it’s been such a pleasure working with Naomi and she has made this process so fun, exciting and special. Plus the final result of the custom ring is PERFECT. Highly recommend!
